Why Not Just Blog?
Well, I've actually decided that it's time to turn SV into a real honest blog. It ain't as much fun railing against the whippersnappers anymore. The more I work with the blog on my business site the more I've come to appreciate the comparative ease of posting, editing, and tracking how many -- or more accurately how few -- people visit my site and what they are looking for that brings them there.
I was looking over my stats recently and noticed that I was getting referrals from the Strikethru blog, which I highly recommend as an example of what typewriter + blog + seriously dedicated and talented writer can =. So since I already have the typrewriter part, I figured that I could at least add the blog part to SV and make it a little more user-friendly. Thanks for the inspiration, Strikethru! You've reassured me that typecasting is alive and well.
So the new blog is launching at sottovoce.avwrites.com right now. The first thing I'm going to do is to try and live-blog my day at Balticon 42 staffing the MWAB table with my buddy Gary. Then, gradually, I'm going to move all the posts and pages from here over to the new blog, so that it will end up having all five years' worth of SV goodness, in a friendlier package. When all that's done, this site will then go quietly into that good night. So for now, new stuff there, old stuff here, got it?
Besides, I really am getting tired of coding everything by hand. Dagnab it.
